Drake was probably about the only person on the island not disturbed by the singing bugs. In fact, he'd been singing along with them into the wee hours of the night, probably much to the dismay of his neighbors.

Of course, now he'd been earwormed and felt compelled to keep singing:

And when all hope is gone, I'm here

It makes no difference who you are

He was also wondering how much trouble he would get in if he unleashed some of the bugs into air vents in Anakin's office. Maybe he could teach them to sing Lady Gaga, too.

Karla looked at Drake and offered him a smile. It was a real for, for all that it was still a bit tentative. "I've loved all the classes I had with you. Thank you, Drake, for being one of the best teachers I've known."

"That's the best thing you could ever tell me," Drake said, beaming. He snapped his fingers and conjured up his bucket list, then picked up a pen to cross out "Enrich young minds" on it.

"Then I'm very glad I did," Karla said, her smile blooming into a full-fledged grin. "After a lot of what I've seen, on this island and before it, seeing how in love with life you are reminds me that there's so much to see and do. More than anything else, it's that that I appreciate learning the most."

"Then I totally count you as a success," Drake grinned. "There are a few cynics I'm still a little iffy on, but I'm hoping they'll get the point somewhere down the road."

"Some seeds bear late-blooming fruit," Karla said philosophically, rising from her chair. "Even if the gardener's gone by the time it sprouts, he played a hand in its fruition."
