Office Hours - Thursday 7/22

Drake was in his office as per usual on Thursdays. Today, however, was ABBA day, and he was singing along with the music.

Among the things that could distract Aquaman from recounting all of his grand adventures, this was definitely among them.

"I love ABBA!"

Seriously, it was important to appreciate good music and to appreciate people who appreciated good music.

Drake beamed. "Then you have excellent taste in music!" he said.

"Well, you're the one playing it!" Aquaman pointed out cheerfully. "So even more so on your tastes! How've you been, old chum?" Yes, having spoken to Drake once or twice counted him as an old chum. They did talk costumes, after all. "Second half of the summer treating you well?"

Drake put his feet up on his desk and gestured to a chair for Aquaman to sit if he so desired. "So far, so good," he said. "I'm trying to teach the kids to grab hold of life and shake it down for everything it's worth. You?"

And Aquaman, of course, took the offered seat, as a break to chat in camaraderie with his fellow teachers was an excellent way to recharge the old noggin! "Home economics again!" he answered. "It's outrageous! But I do like the thought behind your class! Metaphorically speaking, of course! It's not very nice to do that literally; in fact, it's quite frowned up."

"Well, we've got Death as a student," Drake mused, rubbing his chin. "But if an incarnation of Life shows up, I'll make sure my kids know not to go through his or her pockets looking for loose change."

Aquaman nodded, very solemnly. "Very good. I'm pretty sure that's illegal. But, yes, going after life the thing for everything it's worth is very admirable! How are they taking to it?"
